It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Johan Cardoen yesterday.
V-Bio Ventures is profoundly indebted to Johan, who played a pivotal role in laying the foundations for the creation of our fund. Without Johan’s legendary tenacity, patience, diplomacy, and exceptional networking skills, the fund might never have come to life. It was a great honour and privilege to have Johan as an advisor and supporter of our fund since its inception.
Together with the entire Belgian life sciences ecosystem, we will deeply miss Johan for his sharp analysis, strategic insight, and visionary leadership — but equally for his warmth, humour, and friendship.
